Every feature, by role

The full list, not just the highlights. 25 capabilities for teachers.

For classroom teachers

25 capabilities

Register

  • Mark a class in seconds

Mark a whole class present, absent or late in seconds. Every mark saves instantly, with nothing to sync at the end of the day.

  • Opens on the right class already

The register works out which period you are in from the clock and opens that class, so there is nothing to choose first.

  • Carries forward the previous period

Marks from the previous period pre-fill the next one, so you are correcting a few pupils rather than marking thirty.

  • Keeps working when the network does not

Marks taken during a network drop are saved on the device and sent when the connection returns, with the status shown on screen.

  • Take a register for a class that is not yours

Covering a colleague, pick any teacher and take their register properly, rather than writing it on paper to enter later.

  • Your school's own attendance codes

Your existing attendance code set is used as it stands, including multiple late timings, rather than a fixed set you have to map onto.

Behaviour

  • Log a merit between questions

Log a merit or demerit during or after a lesson, categorised by reason, visible to pastoral staff straight away.

  • Demerits with a reason attached

Record a demerit against a category (conduct, effort, uniform, equipment) so the pattern is readable later, not just a running total.

  • Refer on when it needs someone senior

Raise a referral and route it to the right desk: behaviour, pastoral, learning support, principal teacher or depute.

Homework

  • Set homework once

Set homework once. Pupils and parents see it immediately, with no separate app to check.

Attendance

  • Attendance for your subject, not just registration

Every class carries its own attendance record, so you can see who is missing your lessons specifically rather than only the morning mark.

Markbook

  • One markbook, feeding everything else

Enter a mark once and it flows through to reports and attainment tracking, not just this class's own record.

Seating plans

  • Seating plans that remember themselves

Build a seating plan once by dragging pupils into place. It is there again next lesson, with nothing to re-enter.

Teacher tools

  • 25 classroom tools, one click from the register

Random picker, timers, group and pair makers, rotating partners, think time, secret student, scores, spinner, dice, soundboard, whiteboard, focus board, exit polls and more.

  • Groups and pairs from the real class list

Group and pairing tools draw from who is actually in front of you today, taking account of who is absent.

Lesson notes

  • Notes that survive a shared class

A lesson note is yours, but readable by whoever else teaches the class, so a shared timetable can pass information along.

Planning

  • Plan a lesson, or a whole scheme of work

Day, week and month views, plus schemes of work you can share with your department.

  • See the year on one timeline

A gantt view lays the whole course out across the session so you can see where you actually are.

Records of work

  • Records of work without the duplicate typing

What you taught is drawn from what you planned and recorded, rather than written out a second time for oversight.

Assessments

  • Assessments on the school calendar

Schedule an assessment, record the marks, and have them reach reports and attainment automatically.

Trips and events

  • A register for a trip or an event

Build a one-off register for any group of pupils, with the same tools as a normal class and a consent form to print.

Printing

  • Paper when you need it

Print a class list, a seating plan, pupil timetables or a trip consent form, laid out for paper rather than screenshotted.

Privacy

  • One keystroke before you project

Privacy mode shortens names and hides sensitive flags across the whole app, for a board the class can see.

Pupil records

  • Check a pupil without losing your place

Any pupil name opens a quick view with the context you need before a difficult conversation, without navigating away.

My classes

  • Your timetable, your classes, your homework

One place for the classes you teach, the homework you have set and the assessments you have coming.
